At Castleside Village Hall, we are dedicated to fostering a sense of community throughout. We provide a welcoming space for celebrations and gatherings, ensuring that every event is memorable and inclusive.

- Lunar Moon Soundbaths will at the village hall 13th March @ 7pm to 8pm.
During ACRE Village Hall Week (17th to 23rd March)
we have a number of events planned:
- During the week most of the classes & workshops are offering free trials / tasters for new attendees.
- 20th March, After School Fun Cafe (Free), games and food served after school until 5pm, for all children.
- 22nd March - Celebrate the Opening of the refurbished Drovers Dell and Village Hall Open Day, 11:00am to 02:00pm

About Castleside Village Hall
Our History
The Village Hall is a beautiful, historic building that dates back to 1924. Located in the heart of the community, the Village Hall recently celebrated its 100 year anniversary, marking a century of bring people together in the small village of Castleside and surrounding areas, situated between Corbridge and Tow Law. Despite the village losing chapels, shops, the Post Office and a pub over the years, the Village Hall continues to be a cornerstone of community life.
Craft Activities
The Village Hall is home to our local craft group which covers a wide variety of craft activities and workshops to introduce a new craft and also other events. Our goal is to provide something for everyone and create a sense of belonging for all.
Fitness Activities
The Village Hall also hosts to a number of weekly fitness sessions for all ages & abilities.

- Exercise to Music - Gentle Seated Exercise.

Social and Community Groups and Activities
In addition to Craft & Fitness activities the Village Hall provides a home for a range of other programs, workshops and services that are vital to ensuring people have a place to meet and support community and individual wellbeing.
Events
During the year the Village Hall team stage various fundraising events, this enables them to provide free or reduced-price family events such as Halloween Party, Christmas Party, Annual Summer Fairs etc.

Regular Calendar
The Village Hall has a programme of regular classes, workshops and meetings that makes up a varied calendar for all ages.
Room Hire
The Village Hall has 2 rooms available for hire and suitable to host Community Events, Weddings, Christenings, Funerals, Private Parties, and much more.
The main Hall, can accommodate up to 100 people, refreshments can be provided, kitchen facilities and a fully licensed bar also available on request.
Additional there is a 1st floor Corporate Room with projector & screen, that can accommodate 20 people, again refreshments can be provided if required.
Drovers Dell
The Village Hall has an outside area which is a play area for younger children called Drovers Dell and is regularly used by local mums and their children during the day.
Drovers Dell is currently a WORK IN PROGRESS with a redesign and refurbishment with new equipment, well underway.

Our Team
- The Village Hall has CIO status. (A Charitable Incorporated Organisation) Reg No 1191521
- This means that it is managed by a panel of trustees who make the decisions and a team of volunteers who help deliver.
- The Hall is owned by the community and so the Trustees are merely custodians or guardians who strive to make it a viable vibrant place to meet and to maintain a good relationship with all members of our community.
- Our team is comprised of passionate volunteers from diverse backgrounds and experiences. They bring together a wealth of knowledge and skills to achieve our goals and make a positive impact in our community. New volunteers are always welcome, contact us for more information.
